Somewhere along the way, most of us outgrow the wide-eyed wonder we once had as kids. Remember when Christmas lights could stop you in your tracks? When the story of Jesus’ birth filled you with awe, not just information? This December, we’re slowing down to rediscover that childlike wonder — the kind that reminds us God is still doing something miraculous in our world.
Each week, we’ll follow the themes of Advent — Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love — and learn how these gifts of God can reignite the wonder in our hearts. Because the same God who split the sky with angels and filled a manger with glory still meets us in our everyday moments.
We'll also have fun ways to celebrate the season together, including a Christmas Photobooth, a winter Hot Chocolate Bar, a Christmas Card Station, and Special Musical Performances in partnership with our local high schools in our services. This is the perfect time to invite friends, neighbors, coworkers, or anyone who could use a little hope and warmth this season. Let’s step into the wonder together!
Christmas Eve is always a special time to spend together as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Join us this year for one of our 6 gatherings on December 24: 1pm, 3pm, or 5pm in the Worship Center and Chapel.
Our 3pm services will be perfect for families, with childcare available for infants – PreK (click here to register) and a very special Family Service at 3pm in the Chapel designed especially for kids to participate.
Sugar Hill Español will gather together in the Theater at 5pm - a warm, welcoming Christmas celebration created with love for our community—a place where everyone is valued, no one has to feel alone, and sharing the season together makes it all the more meaningful.
Each year, we partner with folks in the Lanier and North Gwinnett school clusters to help provide Christmas for children! When you participate, you will provide gifts to children who may not otherwise receive gifts on Christmas morning. You can choose a child to sponsor and shop for their needs, making a huge difference for them and their families! Pick up your sponsorship sheets in the Worship Center Lobby, or you can use the button below to donate towards gift sponsorships.
Gifts are due back Sunday, December 7.
Each November and December, we end the year with what we call our Wrap it Up offering. This offering ensures that SHC can continue to carry out God’s mission and vision for serving people, both here in our community and around the world. We’re so grateful that God chooses to work through us and we’re committed to advancing the message of the Gospel.
