Proverbs 4:23 — “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”
“What’s in your wallet?” The ad asks it like it’s a challenge.
But maybe, for us, that’s not the real question.
Maybe the one that echoes through heaven right now is this:
“What’s in your heart?”
Every decision you make, every relationship you cultivate, every dream you chase—it all flows from what’s happening beneath the surface.
Proverbs 4:23 — “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”
So, what if you focused your whole year around one word?
Not a thousand resolutions you’ll forget by February, but one single word that captures who you want to become in Christ.
Romans 12:2 says, “Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.”
Luke 6:45, “A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.”
What’s in my heart?” but also “What have I put there?”
Over time, that word starts working like a seed.
Matthew 13:23, But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.
“Who are you becoming?” Not “What are you achieving?”
Ask God to reveal your word. Not a trendy word, not a churchy word—one that speaks directly to your soul right now.
Share it with your community. Accountability leads to transformation.
Philippians 1:6 says, “I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”
