Camp 2024 - Friday Quiet Time

Read: Matthew 5:14-16

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Think

What if you were a superhero with the power to brighten up someone's day, just with your actions and words? Jesus tells us we all have that power. We're meant to shine brightly, not to show off, but to help others see how awesome God is through our lives.

Pray

Take a few minutes and pray. Here is a sample prayer you that you can make your own:

“God, help me to be a light for You. Show me ways I can make a positive difference in someone's day and lead them to You. Let my actions reflect Your love and kindness. Amen.”

Live

When you return back home, look for opportunities to be a positive influence. It could be helping out at home, standing up for someone being treated unfairly, or just sharing a smile. Notice how these actions not only brighten someone else's day, but yours as well.
