“Behold, the virgin will be with child and will give birth to a Son, and they shall name Him Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.”
Matthew 1:23 NASB95
“The people who walk in darkness will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, the light will shine on them. You will multiply the nation, You will increase their joy; They will rejoice in Your presence As with the joy of harvest, As people rejoice when they divide the spoils. For You will break the yoke of their burden and the staff on their shoulders, The rod of their oppressor, as at the battle of Midian. For every boot of the marching warrior in the roar of battle, And cloak rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire. For a Child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of armies will accomplish this.”
Isaiah 9:2–7 NASB95
Before hope can enter your life, you have to admit that something is
missing.
“And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to
Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of
the house and family of David, in order to register along with Mary, who
was betrothed to him and was pregnant. While they were there, the time
came for her to give birth.”
Luke 2:4–6 NASB95
“The people who walk in darkness will see a great light.”
Isaiah 9:2 NASB95
Even in your hardest seasons, God is preparing to bring something
beautiful into your life.
Hope isn’t about ignoring the problem—it’s about fixing what’s broken.
“And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths,
and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”
Luke 2:7 NASB95
“For You will break the yoke of their burden and the staff on their
shoulders.”
Isaiah 9:4 NASB95
Bring in One at a Time
When we make room for Jesus, He fills our lives with the hope we’ve
been missing.
Hope is a gift you don’t have to earn—it’s one you simply receive.
“And the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good
news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of
David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.’”
Luke 2:10–11 NASB95
“For a Child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; and the
government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 9:6 NASB95
The hope of Jesus is a gift with your name on it—ready to be received.
As we enter this Advent season, ask yourself:
“Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son, and they shall
name Him Immanuel, which translated means, ‘God with us.’”
Matthew 1:23 NASB95
