Remember, God isn't done with us as long as we're breathing. So, what's your next step? Whatever it is, take that leap and know that you're not alone—because we grow better together. Thanks for being here, and we hope today’s encouragement pushes you to live more like Jesus.
Well, hey friends, welcome back to another edition of the weekday podcast today. I want you to think about the journey of faith that you're on and I want to remind you it's not a sprint.
(0:29 - 0:37)
It's not this quick thing. It's actually a step-by-step adventure with God. So when you think about growth, you know what it feels like to be stuck.
(0:38 - 0:50)
You know what it feels like to be not sure of what to do next, but the good news is everybody, and I mean everybody, has a next step. In the early church, people didn't just hear about Jesus and call it a day. They got baptized.
(0:50 - 1:06)
They devoted themselves to teaching, to fellowship, to breaking bread, and to prayer. They were all about growing in their faith. In fact, Acts 2.42 describes it this way, they were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching, and to fellowship, and to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.
(1:06 - 1:12)
And so here's the deal. No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, there's always a next step. Maybe you've never said yes to Jesus.
(1:12 - 1:20)
That's the first step, to say yes to him. Or maybe you know Jesus, but you're not seeing much fruit in your life. Maybe it's time to dive into some Bible study and prayer.
(1:21 - 1:35)
For others, it might be about applying truth to your life. You're learning, but are you living it out? And for some, it's about becoming spiritual mentors, where you're pouring into others what God has poured into you. The key is this, as long as we're breathing, God is not done with us.
(1:36 - 1:43)
We're all works in progress, and that's okay. So the question today is, what's your next step? Maybe it's joining a small group. Maybe it's serving in a ministry.
(1:43 - 1:55)
Maybe it's having a conversation that you've been putting off. Whatever it is, take that step, and remember, we grow better together. So today, I want to encourage you, identify your next step and go for it.
(1:55 - 2:03)
You've got it, and we've got your back, because this faith journey isn't a sprint. It's a step-by-step adventure with God. Have a great day.
