Well, hey friends, it's so great to have you on another edition of the weekday podcast. Today I want to talk about this idea of recognizing the burden, and it comes from Galatians chapter six verse two, Paul's writing, and he says, bear one another's burdens and therefore fulfill the law of Christ. Imagine if you're standing on the shore of the lake and you're watching this lone swimmer out in the distance, struggling halfway across.
Would you turn away or would you try to find a way to help? Would you build a bridge? Well, in our journey through life, we often focus on our own path. We focus on our own struggles and that's obvious. I mean, nobody faults us for that, but what if God calls us to something even greater? What if he's asking us to look beyond ourselves and to see the burdens that other people are carrying? Because here's the truth.
Everyone you meet is carrying a load that you cannot see. The coworker with that smile on their face all the time, they're battling something, maybe even depression. That neighbor who seems to have it all together, maybe they're on the brink of a divorce.
That teenager with the attitude, maybe it's coming from a place of massive self doubt. God calls us to be bridge builders, to recognize the hidden burdens and to reach out with compassion. Now it's not about being perfect.
It's about being present. It's about having the courage to say, I see you, I'm here for you. Now when we open our eyes to see the struggles of others, we're actually fulfilling the law of Christ, the law of love.
We become his hands. We become his feet. We extend grace and hope to a hurting world.
So today I'm going to encourage you to look around, ask the question, who needs a bridge in their life? Who needs someone to say, you're not alone in this? Be that person. Be that bridge. Because here's the truth, everyone you meet is carrying a load you can't see.
Be the bridge they need to cross the troubled waters. Have a great day. We'll see you back here soon.
