The Gift in the Drawer

In this episode of the weekday podcast, we tackle one of the most common tensions in the Christian life: we love the idea of sharing our faith, but we rarely have a plan to actually do it. How many times have you walked back to your car after hanging out with a friend, coworker, or neighbor—talking about sports, hobbies, work, everything except Jesus—and felt that quiet pang of regret? Paul reminds us in Ephesians 4:7 that grace was given to each one of us, not just pastors or platform speakers. Yet research shows an uncomfortable pattern: the longer we've been Christians, the fewer non-Christian friends we tend to have. Church fills our calendar, our friend group narrows, and we lose the very relationships we're called to speak into. This week's challenge is simple but uncomfortable—protect one relationship outside the church walls on purpose, and let awkward be okay. A gift you never use isn't humility; it's rejection with better manners. So why not you? Why not today?
