START HERE
(Table leaders: choose 1–2)
- What stood out to you from tonight?
- What was your gut reaction to learning that Jesus's own brothers didn't believe in him?
- When Jesus comes up in conversation — at work, with family, online — what kind of reactions do you usually see?
- Where did most of your opinions about Jesus come from — family, church, friends, school, the internet, something else?
GO DEEPER
(Table leaders: choose 1–2 if time allows)
- Why do you think the people closest to Jesus had such a hard time believing in him?
- The officers said, "Never has a man spoken the way this man speaks." What do you think they heard that made them go back empty-handed?
- What's the difference between having an opinion about someone and actually knowing them?
- Jesus said, "If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know." What do you think he means — can you only figure some things out by leaning in?
- Jesus invited the thirsty, not the certain. Does that make coming to him feel easier, harder, or neither? Why?
- If you're honest, what are you thirsty for right now?
- What about Jesus is easy for you to believe... and what's harder?
NEXT STEP
(Table leaders: choose 1 before you end)
- Would you describe yourself right now as close to Jesus, convinced about him, curious, skeptical, or something else?
- What's one way you could "go listen to Jesus for yourself" this week?
- Is there someone in your life who's thirsty and unsure that you could invite to come and see?
Optional: "Before you leave, is there anything your table can pray with you about?"
