Work It Out

In today’s podcast, Pastor Chuck Allen tackles a struggle we all know too well: the daily pull between good and evil. We’ve all felt like we’ve got an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other, each pushing us in different directions. Pastor Chuck uses the words of Paul in Ephesians and Philippians […]

Stress-Proofing Your Soul

In this episode of the Weekday podcast, Pastor Bobby McGraw addresses a familiar but often unspoken challenge—stress, especially during seasons filled with high expectations. As the holidays or important milestones approach, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed by the pressure to create perfect moments. Pastor Chuck draws wisdom from Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians, […]

Gardening

In today’s episode of the weekday podcast, Pastor Chuck Allen dives deep into a theme that feels almost counter-cultural in our modern world—humility. Using the metaphor of a garden, he beautifully illustrates how cultivating humility in our hearts can transform not only ourselves but the world around us. As he reflects on Paul’s words from […]

The Paradox of Serving

In this episode of the Weekday podcast, Pastor Chuck Allen explores the profound paradox of serving. Drawing from Jesus’s words in Matthew 20:28, he highlights that the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others. A Good Lesson

Small Group Leader (Wednesdays)

The SHC student ministry is focused on small group ministry. We believe that small group leaders are the real pastors in the lives of middle and high school students. Our hope for students is that they are seen, heard, loved, and known and we believe they help make that happen. Small group leaders are committed weekly to invest and lead the discussion time at the end of each Wednesday night service.

Table Group Leader [Sundays]

On Sunday mornings during the 11 AM service, our students break out into MS & HS table groups. A table group leader helps facilitate discussion at their tables of 7-9 students. Our students walk through scripture together that is focused on the big story of scripture led by table group leaders where groups write down observations from the passage, ways it connects to us, and what our take away can be. Table groups are integral for helping our students get invested into the Word each week.
